Who we are.

Rothley Imps Junior Football Club is a community football club dedicated to giving children and young people the opportunity to play, develop, belong and enjoy the game.

Based at the heart of the Rothley community, we provide a welcoming and positive environment where young players can discover football, develop their skills and confidence, make friendships and, most importantly, have fun.

We believe grassroots football should be about much more than what happens on the pitch.

From a child's first experience of football through to competitive youth teams, our aim is to create an environment where every player feels welcome, valued and part of the club.

We want our players to develop as footballers, but also as people — learning about teamwork, resilience, respect, commitment and supporting one another along the way.

The FA Accredited Programme is The FA’s scheme open to all grassroots clubs and leagues. It aims to raise standards in the grassroots game and support the development of clubs and leagues. England Football Accredited is the new framework for League and Club accreditation, and replaces The FA Charter Standard.

To qualify as an FA Accredited Club, we must have positively changed the football landscape over the last 20 years, creating the ideal environment to nurture players, coaches and volunteers. The result is greater diversity and inclusivity throughout football and for this great achievement.

As an Accredited Club, it is our duty to offer all players – whether male and / or female and / or disability players – of all ages the the opportunity to fully access the best of football in a well-run, high quality, safe and sustainable Club, and fit for purpose League competition.

Rothley Imps is powered by the people who give their time to make grassroots football possible.

Our coaches, managers, committee members, parents and volunteers all play a part in creating the experience our young players enjoy every week.

That community spirit is at the heart of who we are. whether you're playing, coaching, volunteering, supporting from the touchline or helping behind the scenes, you're part of the Imps family.

Of course, we want our teams to compete and our players to improve. but success at Rothley Imps isn't measured by trophies alone.

It's the player who scores their first goal.

The child who grows in confidence.

The friendships formed in a team.

The volunteer who decides to become a coach.

And the players who look back years later and remember how much they loved pulling on a Rothley Imps shirt.

That's what grassroots football is all about.
